1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing and using the Away Recovery website ("Service"), booking services, or participating in any programs, you accept and agree to be bound by these terms and conditions. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use this service.

2. Description of Services

Away Recovery provides intensive breakthrough experiences and retreat services for professional men seeking authentic transformation, including:

  • Multi-day retreats in New Hampshire's White Mountains

  • One-day intensive workshops

  • Private, confidential one-on-one retreats

  • Corporate leadership intensives

  • Fire-walking empowerment experiences

  • Online resources and support materials

3. Important Disclaimers

Medical and Mental Health Disclaimer

CRITICAL: Away Recovery's programs are NOT medical treatment, clinical therapy, or addiction treatment services. Our intensive experiences are designed for personal development and breakthrough work but should not replace professional medical care, psychiatric treatment, or clinical addiction treatment.

Professional Care Requirements:

  • You must disclose any current mental health treatment, medication, or medical conditions during intake

  • If you are currently in treatment for substance use disorders, mental health conditions, or taking psychiatric medications, you must have written approval from your treating professional before participating

  • We reserve the right to require medical clearance for participation

Emergency Situations: If you experience thoughts of self-harm, substance use cravings, or mental health crisis, contact emergency services immediately (911) or go to your nearest emergency room.

Physical Activity and Outdoor Experience Disclaimer

Our programs include outdoor activities, physical challenges, and potentially fire-walking experiences. Participation involves inherent risks including but not limited to injury, illness, or property damage. By participating, you acknowledge these risks and agree to participate at your own risk.

4. Eligibility and Admission

  • Participants must be at least 18 years of age

  • Programs are designed specifically for professional men

  • Completion of intake process and health screening required

  • We reserve the right to refuse admission or terminate participation if safety concerns arise

  • Sobriety from substances is required during all programs

5. Confidentiality and Privacy

Your Privacy is Protected:

  • All participant information, discussions, and experiences are strictly confidential

  • We maintain professional confidentiality standards to protect your reputation and privacy

  • Group participants agree to maintain confidentiality regarding other participants

  • No photos or recordings without explicit consent

  • Corporate programs maintain confidentiality regarding all participants and content

Limits to Confidentiality:

  • Mandatory reporting requirements for threats of harm to self or others

  • Legal obligations under court orders or subpoenas

  • Medical emergencies requiring disclosure to emergency personnel

6. Payment Terms and Cancellation Policy

Payment

  • Payment is required prior to program participation

  • Corporate programs may have different payment terms as agreed in writing

  • All fees are non-refundable except as specified below

Cancellation Policy

  • 60+ days before program: Full refund minus $500 processing fee

  • 30-59 days before program: 50% refund

  • Less than 30 days: No refund except for medical emergencies with documentation

  • Emergency cancellations: May be eligible for program rescheduling

Weather and Force Majeure

  • Programs may be rescheduled due to severe weather or circumstances beyond our control

  • Participants will be offered rescheduling or credit toward future programs

7. Code of Conduct

All participants agree to:

  • Maintain sobriety from all substances during programs

  • Respect the confidentiality of all participants

  • Engage authentically and respectfully in all activities

  • Follow safety guidelines for all outdoor and physical activities

  • Maintain professional conduct appropriate for the setting

Prohibited Conduct:

  • Substance use of any kind during programs

  • Harassment, discrimination, or inappropriate behavior toward staff or participants

  • Sharing confidential information about other participants

  • Recording or photographing without consent

  • Behavior that compromises safety or program integrity

8. Health and Safety Requirements

  • Disclosure of all medical conditions, medications, and treatment history

  • Physical fitness adequate for outdoor activities and challenges

  • Mental health stability appropriate for intensive personal work

  • Compliance with all safety protocols and staff instructions

9. Limitation of Liability

  • Away Recovery provides personal development services, not medical or clinical treatment

  • We are not liable for any adverse outcomes, injuries, or personal consequences resulting from program participation

  • Participants assume all risks associated with intensive personal work, outdoor activities, and physical challenges

  • Our liability is limited to the amount paid for services

10. Intellectual Property

  • All program materials, methodologies, and content are proprietary to Away Recovery

  • Participants may not record, reproduce, or distribute program content without written permission

  • Testimonials and feedback may be used for marketing purposes unless you opt out in writing

11. Professional Boundaries

  • Our staff maintain professional boundaries appropriate for personal development work

  • Dual relationships outside of program context are not permitted

  • Any concerns about professional conduct should be reported immediately

12. Termination and Removal

We reserve the right to terminate participation for:

  • Violation of these terms or program rules

  • Behavior that compromises safety or program integrity

  • Substance use or failure to maintain program requirements

  • Medical or mental health concerns that require different levels of care

13. Dispute Resolution

  • Any disputes will be resolved through binding arbitration in New Hampshire

  • Participants waive right to class action lawsuits

  • New Hampshire state law governs these terms

14. Changes to Terms

We may modify these terms with 30 days notice. Continued use of services constitutes acceptance of modified terms.
